Hatfield Christian Church Shere is a vibrant Christian community located in the heart of Shere, named in connection with our roots Hatfield Christian Church in Waterkloof Glen. As a nonprofit, faith based organization, we are committed to living out the Gospel through worship, discipleship and community outreach.
Rooted in faith, love and service our church exists to glorify God, build strong families, raise servant-hearted leaders and extend hope to our community. We are passionate about creating a welcoming space where people of all ages can grow in their relationship with Jesus and serve others with purpose.
OUR HISTORY
Hatfield Christian Church Shere is a branch of the renowned Hatfield Christian Church, whose main campus is located in Waterkloof Glen, Pretoria. The main church was founded in 1982 on Hope Street in the Hatfield area, and since then, it has built a rich legacy of faith, discipleship, and community impact both locally and internationally.
In 2022, in response to a growing call to reach new communities with the love of Christ, HCC Shere was officially planted under the leadership of Pastor Letsholo and his wife Ann. This move was a natural extension of Hatfield’s vision to raise, release, and resource people for kingdom purpose—this time, focused on the eastern parts of Pretoria.
Nestled in the peaceful suburb of Shere, the church began as a small gathering with a big heart: to proclaim the gospel, nurture believers, and build a Christ-centered, Spirit-led community where people of all ages could belong and grow.
Today, HCC Shere stands as a beacon of hope in the area—offering Sunday services, youth and children’s ministries, discipleship programs, and outreach initiatives. It remains committed to continuing the legacy of Hatfield: Rooted in Christ, grounded in the Word, and passionate about discipling people.
Meet The Senior Pastor - Letsholo Pelesi
Pastor Letsholo was born and raised in Ga-Rankuwa, where his passion for ministry and community began. His journey with Hatfield Christian Church started when he moved to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology through Hatfield’s ministry training.
From his early days in the Youth Ministry, Pastor Letsholo faithfully served in various capacities within the church. His commitment, humility, and heart for people led to his ordination as a pastor in 2009.
In 2022, Pastor Letsholo and his wife Ann were commissioned to plant and lead Hatfield Christian Church Shere, a growing church community rooted in faith, service, and the love of Christ. Together, they are passionate about discipling people, strengthening families, and building a Christ-centered community in Shere, Pretoria.
Pastor - Ann Pelesi
Ann completed Year of Your Life in 2001 at Hatfield Training Centre. She has been serving in full-time ministry at Hatfield Christian Church since 2006 where she is involved in pastoral care and counseling.
